His innovation in the realm of root-cause accident/rule violations investigations has involved the collaboration with a number of academic experts in the fields of cognitive psychology and human-factors research, including USDOT funded research at the Volpe Institute of Transportation Research in Cambridge, MA. George has accepted invitations to share the findings of his research in the US and internationally, and has made formal presentations to the Federal Railroad Administration, the National Transportation Safety Administration, the American Public Transit Association, Railway Age Passenger Trains on Freight Railroad Conference, The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, Veolia Transportation Paris, and the Swedish Government Rail Safety Institute, Oslo.
